Hi

My main pupose in Historia would be to search for a missing number (i.e one that I forgot). Is there any way to view the Historia file with pockt excel so I could do it away from my computer and search for a number ...OR.... will you be adding a search feature in the future.

Thanks,
Jeffrey

Hi,

I just found that version 1.1 will let me sort by number which would kind of help me looking for an old number, but I am limited to the 300 call limit of windows mobile. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your message.
I'm always happy to hear requests from users and can try and add features according to the request.
I also was aware of this limitation as i also needed something like that, and you are right 1.1 can let you find a number.
Currently in version 3.x you can do that with pocket word, not pocket excel. You can search the csv file by opening it ( just open file explorer, go to my documents, historia, and tap historia.txt), and then menu->edit-> search/replace, and type the number you want to search).

Be careful not to change the file as Historia might have problems displaying it. And also please don't do it when Historia is opened.

I will be thinking of adding a way to sort the display by number or search for a number in next version and give updates about that here.

Thank you very much.

Now i thought on another better workaround.

You can call the number you want to search and hang up immediately.

then you can go back to Historia, you see this number on the top. and then filter this number.

registration key is on the way Drool

Good idea. Except that wasn't my use. My need is only remembering part of a number and doing a partial search or a wildcard search to find the whole number. OR searching by name to find someone's cell number, etc. I just tried what you suggested by just putting in a partial number and all it brought up was the one partial number that I just dialed and hung up.

Thanks,

Jeffrey

I see, well for now. part of your needs can be done by using the built in search of the device, tapping start -> search. There you can search for a name in your contacts and see the number of the contact.

What i suggested can only work with calling the exact number as filtering done for the exact number.

Anyway, I'll probably add a search option soon.

If it were only that easy. The scenario is for a person who calls me and is "not" in my contacts or his "special" or "new" number is not yet in my contacts. The only record that I have of it, in my device, is the phone call record in Historia.

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to your search option.
